Announcement: Hiatus Until the Week of Nov. 4

Hi, readers!

I just wanted to drop you all a line and let you know how much I appreciate each and every one of you. I love getting in the kitchen and getting busy creating recipes for our healthy lifestyles.

As some of you know, we recently purchased our first home (yay!) and will be moving in about a month. Between now and then, we have about 900 million hours of work to do (OK, that number might be slightly embellished– but it’s got to be at least 100 million hours…hehe…). In order to make the move more simple, we’ve decided to take the move room by room and pack up things slowly.

Much of my kitchen has already been packed, so I have decided to take a small vacation from the blog until we’re established in the new house.

My wedding anniversary is this weekend (well, technically Monday the 23rd) and my husband gave me the most awesomely suitable gift ever: a new KitchenAid mixer to match the kitchen in the new house! It’s a combination gift that will encompass our anniversary and Christmas, but I’m so excited I can hardly stand it! 🙂

Here she is, in all of her pistachio (I prefer to call it mint) green glory:

I can’t wait to put her to work!
I’ll be back with new recipes the second week of November, hopefully– just in time for the holidays. I’ll be brainstorming a yummy stuffing/dressing recipe as many of you have asked for as well as many others. It’ll be a glorious return if there ever was one!
Thanks again, all, for reading my blog, which I have a TON of fun writing. I’ll be featuring some of my more “vintage” recipes on our Facebook page, so stay tuned.

Eating healthy, for me, is about more than weight loss like it used to be. It’s about controlling my blood sugar levels and obtaining normal–or relatively normal–hormone levels. I still struggle to lose weight efficiently, but eating a wheat, sugar and gluten free diet helps to control some of the problems I’ve encountered with these health issues of mine.
